Ask your AI assistant about your invoices.
Connect ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor or another MCP client to Invonio. It answers which invoices are unpaid and what you billed this quarter, and prepares drafts with Invonio's own numbering, VAT and validation. Nothing goes to a customer without your yes.

You choose how much, when you connect.
The consent screen offers three levels. Read only is preselected. You can change it by connecting again, and disconnect any time.
Read only
Invoices and their status (draft, open, overdue, paid), one invoice in full with download links, customers and items from your past invoices, payments received and owed, revenue and VAT per period, received e-invoices, what needs attention, and a pre-send check of any invoice.
Tools

Read and prepare drafts
Also: create invoice drafts (from scratch, for an earlier customer or as a copy of an earlier invoice), edit drafts, and mark sent invoices as paid or unpaid. A draft stays private; nothing reaches a customer.
Tools

Read, draft and send
Also: send a finished invoice to the customer by e-mail or over Peppol. Only after you said yes in the chat, every single time, and only if the total is the one you approved.

Questions it can answer from your account
- “Which invoices are overdue, and by how many days?”
- “How much did I invoice this quarter, and how much VAT is that per rate?”
- “What did customers pay me in October?”
- “Draft an invoice for ACME like last month's, with 12 hours instead of 10.”
- “Prepare a 3-hour consulting invoice for Beispiel AG at my usual hourly rate.”
- “Is draft 2026-0016 ready to send? What is missing for Peppol?”
- “Mark invoice 2026-0012 as paid on 3 November.”
- “Which e-invoices did I receive from suppliers this week?”
An invoice is a legal document. The assistant treats it like one.
Sending needs your yes
Sending issues the invoice for good. The assistant has to show you the final invoice and send it with your explicit confirmation and the exact total you approved; if the draft changed since, Invonio refuses.
Sent invoices are never changed
A sent invoice is locked and archived, as in Invonio itself. Corrections and cancellations are credit notes you make in Invonio; the assistant can only point you there.
The same engine as Invonio
Drafts go through the same validation, the same invoice number series and the same VAT calculation (grouped per rate, EN 16931) as the invoice editor, the mobile app and the API.
Out of reach
Deleting anything, your business tax and bank details, plans and billing stay in Invonio. Your IBAN is never shown, only its last four characters; your tax number not at all.
Only your own account
A connection acts as you, on your business, and sees nothing else. Every connection is listed under Account → API and AI assistants, where one click disconnects it.
Limits
120 requests a minute per connection, and at most 30 invoices sent per hour over assistants.
Connect your assistant in two minutes
Each assistant below signs in with your Invonio account (OAuth): add the server address, sign in, choose what it may do. Menu names change between app versions; if a step looks different, look for “Connectors”, “MCP” or “custom server”.
ChatGPT Web and desktop app
- Open Plugins and choose + → Add custom MCP server.
- Name it Invonio and paste the server address.
- Choose OAuth as authentication, confirm the warning and create it.
- Install the plugin, sign in to Invonio and choose what it may do.
- In a new chat type @Invonio and ask. ChatGPT asks you before a tool that writes runs.
Available on paid ChatGPT plans; in Business and Enterprise an admin may need to allow custom servers.
Claude claude.ai and the desktop app
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Name it Invonio and paste the server address.
- Choose Connect, sign in to Invonio and choose what it may do.
- In a chat, open the tools menu and make sure Invonio is on.
On Team and Enterprise plans an owner may need to add the connector for the organisation first.
Claude Code Terminal
- Run the command below.
- Start Claude Code, type /mcp, choose invonio and Authenticate.
- Sign in to Invonio in the browser and choose what it may do.
claude mcp add --transport http invonio https://invonio.talivio.com/mcp

- Use it in Copilot Chat in agent mode.

Gemini CLI Terminal
- Run the command below.
- In Gemini CLI run /mcp auth invonio and sign in to Invonio.
gemini mcp add --transport http invonio https://invonio.talivio.com/mcp
Codex OpenAI Codex CLI and IDE extension
- Run the first command to add Invonio.
- Run the second to sign in to Invonio in your browser.
codex mcp add invonio --url https://invonio.talivio.com/mcp
codex mcp login invonio
Any other client With a key instead of a sign-in
- In Invonio open Account → API and AI assistants and create an AI key: read only; read and prepare drafts; or read, draft and send.
- Send it as a header with the server address. For example in Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http invonio https://invonio.talivio.com/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer ivk_…"
A key acts as you. Keep it secret and revoke it on the same page.
